After keeping quiet for sometime, Saif, now has decided to speak out fearlessly. He says, he never expected so many people to have such huge problems with his National Award achievement.Saif says, “I deserve the National Award and I will try and keep up to it. May be there are more actors who are superbly experienced then me but if you look at the awardees over the last couple of years, all of them have not exactly invented a nuclear bomb.”
For all those who came in late, Shiv Sena, the Bishnois and many other personalities from different walks of life have opposed the Government for honoring Saif with Padma Shri. In fact, executive president of Shiv Sena Udhav Thackeray went to the extend of calling him a tapori who did not deserve an award of such stature.
Such harsh protests were likely to bring Saif at an awkward situation and ultimately he had to bring his defenses on the foreground to stand by his achievement. Saif had to have an outburst and anyways there has to be a limit to everything.
